About us
The Israel Genealogical Society (IGS) is Israel's premiere genealogical organization, rewarding its members with a full range of research materials, guidance and support. Founded in 1983, the IGS is a non-profit organization with branches in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Netanya, the Negev, Beit Shemesh and Haifa, with more in formation. Lectures and activities throughout the nation are open to the entire membership.

Our committement
So many of the people who suffered and lost their lives in Salonika were descendents of those who either departed in 1492 or came later as Baal T' Shuva. We at Casa-Shalom have made a considerable study of this facet in our researches.

J.E.A.A (Judéo-Espagnol A Auschwitz) launched in 2000 an international campaign to obtain an additional plaque in Judeo-Spanish at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial in remembrance of the Jewish Martyrs who had Judeo-Spanish as their mother language.

The English Speakers Club of Ashdod (ESCA)
is an organization which brings together immigrants, coming from "Anglo
- Saxon" countries, with other English speakers who have settled in
Ashdod and environment. It was founded in 1983.
Our Mission
The club sees as its task:
Absorption of immigrants; helping them to have a successful "Aliyah"
Networking, public relations, volunteer work, referrals to other
organizations.
To provide programs, cultural as well as educational; an occasional
excursion and social get togethers.
To provide information relating to on - going cultural events in Ashdod
and surrounding
